Teach us to number our days that we may gain a heart of wisdom…Psalms 90:12
Countdown! I can’t believe that we are less than 90 days to Christmas! It was just a few days ago that we celebrated Christmas. I still remember when that I put away the Christmas tree. Oh, the kids did have a swell time! Not me, after I looked at my bank account. And here we go again!
What of the goals we set at the beginning of the year? Please do no beat yourself. We are going to accelerate YOUR most important goals together before we end 2010, right here and now! You can change you life in 90 days! Take up this challenge.
Goals activate cognitive knowledge and strategies which allows you to cope with the situation at hand. Which is so empowering as it puts you in the driver’s seat and not the circumstance. So, we always can always get back to business.
Take a life changing decision to change where you are at now. From where you are right now you can have a 90 day ride to a glorious future.
1.Put a plan/strategy together based on your goals. Write them down. Your goal is still in place but there are ways to achieving it. You can change your route sometimes, but still arrive at your destination taking another route.
2. Stop some activities that are not empowering you to reach your goals. For instance, taking on too many online programmes will only confuse you and will frustrate you to say the least.
3. Maintain a sense of urgency. My coach said a few weeks ago The reason why some of us never finish the books we write is that we do not develop a sense of urgency about it.. Aaarrh! That hurt! But it made me bring out my 7 odd unfinished ones and I am on one to release one within 90 days too. So, I need every advice I am giving here too!
4. Establish new habits. Experts in Personal Development give the timing of 21 days (some 30days) to form a new habit. The principle to learn here is an old dog can learn new tricks. But then the Law of Repetition must be utilised. You can do it, you just need to keep at it. Practice makes you the expert Keep saying or doing it until it becomes 2nd nature.
5. Do this in 30 day cycles. Use a journal to record your progress. This will ensure you are on track and in control. Re-evaluate every 30 days. 90 days is 3 of those 30′s!
6.Decide what you want to give up. A wise man said Time and Money must be used wisely. Prioritising is the essential part of the deal. What is important to you now? Then give that your best shot and then what is less in that order. It is challenging when you have to attend to emergencies. But those times are testing us to see if we will back to what is important.
7.Remain consistent and commited to reaching your goals. It is so important to remain consistent in order to establish new habits. Consistency is to establish a new and empowering habits based on the positive outcomes. So its not feelings. The question then is Will you enjoy the results from taking this action? If yes, then, ‘Just do it’. The will be distractions but get back to it. Just like one of my friend commented, “We mothers can get distracted but we still get to do it”. That is commitment. And don’t give up…
8. Be in control of your emotions. If something becomes a road block find a way around it. You don’t have to give in and give up just because there is a challenge in your way. Be creative and don’t be so hard on yourself.
9. Expect to succeed. You have to believe it is possible to achieve it. All things are possible to him that believes.
10. If you did not or did reach your target, what did learn along the way? Enjoy the journey. The lessons you learn, the people you meet, the contacts you make, the skills you developed… the list is endless.

The journey is as important as your destination. It is important that enroute our goals that we smell those flowers along the way.
This great attitude in itself is a great accelerator to your goals and dreams.

Hi Enomfon – This is such a great post to remind us that time is always of the essence! We all need to work hard every day because time goes by so fast. If we keep procrastinating and putting things off until tomorrow, things start falling by the wayside. My favorite point is to stop activities that are not helping you reach your goal. It is so easy to get caught up in doing meaningless things like surfing the internet. Great job!

Enomfon,
How did you know I was ready to hear these pointers again? Really, one can never hear this message too many times. It’s easy to slip into a routine that cuts corners and leaves out some of these steps.
Your last point about learning from it no matter what the outcome is huge. There is always a learning process that can be applied to all experiences.
